Where your treasure is, your heart will be also..Do not store up for yourselves treasures on Earth but treasures in heaven

God will call us before Him one day to give account for all of our works here on Earth.

There is no such thing as "irreconcillable" differences amongst children of God

It takes a village to raise a child

Families need the counsel of mature elders in sorting throough some of the challenges of matrimony

Interferences from the inlaws directing troubled couples toward disunity and conflict as opposed to unity and reconcilliation is a huge part of the breakdown of today's families

God will put challenges in our lives that will sometimes bring us to a place where we can do nothing more than fall on our face and call on Him.

God will sometimes remove everything from our lives so that He has our undivided attention. It is at those times He can bring us closest to Him and allow us to grow even closer through study and reflection on His Word.

One can excel at every accomplishment on this Earth, but if you lose your Salvation in the process you have Gained nothing...a wasted Soul.

To fail my children in this life is to have failed in life...regardless of any past sucesses. To fail my children is for me to give up on our family.

Famiies can pass along from one generation to the next a Blessing or a Curse depending on how they manage family dysfunctions

Children Learn What They Live

If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.

If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.

If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.

If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.

If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.

If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.

If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.

If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.

If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.

If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.

If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.

If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.

If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.

If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.

If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.

If children live with fairness, they learn justice.

If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.

If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.

If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.

I believe that just because your child is grown you are still a mother to that child and you should be there for him to give prudent counsel and advice.

I believe that the role of a grandparent is to support the unity of the family and not to take action to replace the parent...to support the efforts of a grandparent in replacing a parent that is in a healthy parent-child relationship is severly dysfuctional.

We can adjust to changing times, but still hold to unchanging principles.
